The Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD) is a 50-year-old nonprofit organization that provides direct services for Ohio’s Appalachian counties in Early Care and Education, AmeriCorps Seniors, Weatherization and Energy Efficiency, and serves the state of Ohio in its accredited Weatherization Training Center. The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Special Projects Coordinator – Provider Services to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for stimulating community interest in establishing, expanding, and improving the quality of early care and education settings.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Establish and improve quality childcare/early care and education settings
  • Provide intensive technical assistance to administrators and classroom staff in licensed childcare programs
  • Conduct program assessments and quality improvement plans and develop/provide training to adult learners.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Education or a related field is required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Three years’ experience working in an early childhood setting
  • Two years of experience teaching or, training, or coaching/mentoring adults
  • The ideal candidate will have solid customer service skills, strong organizational and communication skills and be able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge and experience in Ohio’s childcare / early childhood education systems is preferred
  • Fluency with Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Valid Ohio drivers’ license and vehicle insurance required.
