Who We Are: COAD is a 50-year-old nonprofit organization that supports the work of our member community action agencies and provides services for Ohio’s Appalachian counties in Early Care and Education, Senior Programs, Weatherization and Energy Efficiency, and serves the state of Ohio in its accredited Weatherization Training Center. COAD is based in Athens, Ohio, a vibrant college town in the foothills of Appalachia, home to Ohio University. We are currently seeking a talented individual who is passionate about making a difference in their community to join our growing team.
The Opportunity: As our HWAP Programs Manager you will oversee the Program Administration for 17 Community Action Agencies across 30 Counties, including oversight, application, budgeting and reporting for the Home Weatherization Assistance Program and the Enhancement Program.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Interfacing with, agency personnel, contractors, funding administrators, and fiscal personnel
· HWAP and HWAP Enhancement Annual Grant application and budgeting
· Agency Communications
· Financial reporting monthly to Funders and internal Fiscal department
· Monthly production reporting
The Skills Needed: The ideal candidate will be approachable and resourceful, assertive, and able to relate to a diverse population, have strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft office programs, particularly Word and Excel, budgeting, proposal and management plan preparation, contract management.
Preference will be given to applicants with a Bachelor’s degree preferred, OR at least four years of successful experience demonstrating proficiency with skill sets listed for this position. In addition, three years of positive customer service skills and 3 years of experience successfully managing a database, or computerized system responsible for tracking records and/or data, budgeting, proposal and management plan preparation, contract management.
Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable with periodic travel throughout the region. Occasional overnight and/or weekend hours can be expected.
