Description

The candidate is responsible for stimulating community interest in establishing, expanding, and improving the quality of early care and education settings as a representative of COAD. The candidate will help to establish and improve quality child care/early care and education settings; provide intensive technical assistance toward Ohio Step Up to Quality ratings; conduct program assessments and quality improvement plans; and develop/provide training to adult learners.

A great candidate will have solid customer service skills, strong organizational and communication skills and be able to prioritize multiple tasks. This position requires daily outreach in a ten-county region (occasional overnight travel is required). Candidates with knowledge and experience in Ohio’s child care / early childhood education systems, specifically best practice in preschool and school age settings are preferred. Valid Ohio drivers’ license and vehicle insurance required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Education or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Three (3) years’ experience working with or caring for preschool aged children.
  • Two (2) years of experience teaching, training, and/or coaching/mentoring adults.
