The Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD) is a 50-year-old nonprofit organization that provides direct services for Ohio’s Appalachian counties in Early Care and Education, AmeriCorps Seniors, Weatherization and Energy Efficiency, and serves the state of Ohio in its accredited Weatherization Training Center. The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Development and Strategic Communications Coordinator. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for implementing both internal/external communication strategies, researching content for grant proposals and providing administrative support to the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for coordinating and contributing to the internal and external communications plans which advance the mission of COAD
  • Creation of social media posts, newsletters, and email communications, including graphic design, video, and photos
  • Ensure the COAD Brand is accurately reflected in all promotional materials
  • Oversight of the organization’s website content and organization
  • Compile data and research findings for grant proposals
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field
  • Approachable, resourceful, and detail oriented
  • Grant development and research skills are a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Photography and/or video production experience
