The Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development (COAD) was founded in 1971 with a mission to improve the quality of life for individuals and families in Appalachian Ohio. COAD provides direct services in 30 counties in Early Care and Education, Senior Corps, Weatherization and Energy Efficiency, and serves all 88 Ohio counties (and several other states) in its accredited Weatherization Training Center. COAD also operates as an administrative and advocacy hub for its 17-member Community Action Network, and as such offers many unique regional benefits including connecting a credentialed workforce with meaningful employment.
